Remember Chris Frome famously having a crash in the Tour de France and having to run up the hill? I have just run up that same hill, the mighty Mount Ventoux pounding over the cyclists' names painted on the tarmac. Yep, we're back in the mountains enjoying the warm autumn sun and glorious foliage displays before the snow envelopes them for the winter.

Foolishly, I signed up for another 3000m climb Strava Challenge with only 10 days in the mountains where it is easier to increase the metres. Running up Ventoux helped although I only went from Chalet Renard to the top, where it was so covered in cloud I could hardly see the sign on the summit (above).

Also, foolishly, Siggy and I have entered another 10K race - along Brighton seafront on 20th November. Much as I enjoy running in stunning landscapes be they the mountains, South Downs or seafront, I have to admit it DOES help to have the motivation of a race to put on the trainers and go for that circuit or mountain climb when you'd rather put on a onesie and watch Friends all afternoon.

This time last year we were only a couple of weeks from taking part in the Las Vegas Half Marathon and what an amazing experience it was, running The Strip at night.  Just thinking about it makes me want to do something as epic again.

Siggy? What do you say?
